Futures for Children has launched a dedicated mentorship campaign called "Build a Future ~ Mentor a Child" through the power of mentorship to spread the word about the benefits of mentorship for both mentor and student. Many students are hoping for a mentor who will guide and encourage them in their education and career pursuits. The Friendship/Mentorship program connects American Indian youth throughout New Mexico, Arizona, and Oklahoma with caring mentors from around the world. Celebration Of The Life Of ROGER ABELSON

On October 25, we held an event to celebrate the life of Roger Abelson and pay tribute to the numerous contributions he made to FFC programs. Family and friends gathered at FFC in Albuquerque to attend a ceremony in his honor. Participants presented speeches about the ways in which Roger impacted their individual lives. Afterwards attendees assembled outside for the dedication of the Roger Abelson Courtyard. FFC is indebted to Roger for his commitment in advancing Futures for Children’s vision.

Ambassadors Circle Launched

Futures for Children Board of Directors has created a new initiative called “FFC Ambassadors Circle.” The purpose of the Ambassadors is to provide a forum within which to strengthen and continue the relationships between FFC, former Board members, friends, and donors. The Ambassadors Circle is a connection through which information can be exchanged and outreach accomplished, thereby promoting FFC’s mission and programs. The first meeting of the Ambassadors Circle took place on October 25, 2014 at the Futures for Children headquarters in Albuquerque. We look forward to this new group bringing their passion and dedication along with a fresh perspective to the vital mission of Futures for Children.
